Social and ecological responsibility was for a long time thought of being incompatible with a profit-oriented economic model. But recently, a paradigm change became visible. The notion of sustainable design contains many models and strategies which try to use new perspectives and insights. The White Paper focus Design tried to show that a combination of design and social as well as ecological responsibility is not only necessary in today’s economy, it can also help to develop an innovative product and service culture.
