2026–2027 Revision of the City of Vienna’s guidelines for the built environment

Having supported MA 19 in drafting the City of Vienna’s guidelines for the built environment starting in 2012—which were ultimately adopted by the Vienna City Council in 2014—it is now time for an update. The coalition agreement of the Vienna City Government for 2025 to 2030 includes the plan to revise the guidelines for the built environment with regard to the “3 Cs” (climate protection, climate change adaptation, circular economy) and to ensure high architectural quality; I have once again been commissioned for this task. Topics and approaches will be discussed in workshops through early 2027, and the results are scheduled to be presented to the public in 2027.
